morning devotions

Every morning, we do family devotions. My parents grew up in a Church of Christ, so we will pull out the hymnbooks we have and sing in four-part harmony, then read the Bible. It's pretty cool. Even though we now go to a church with modern music, it's still neat to rediscover my family's past through singing and music. It literally sends chills up my spine.

And for a dash of comic relief, our dog will howl until he's hoarse, especially when we sing gospel songs. It leaves us clutching our sides and gasping for breath with laughter.
