this is real life

today I got out of bed at nine, started school at ten, and grumbled about having to do my chores.
today I complained when things didn't go my way, was way too over-controlling, and sat in front of the computer for six hours (granted, it was for school, but still)
today I was a pretty messed-up human being
today is a day I wish I could start over

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why am I even saying this?

I guess I just want to show people that I don't live a perfect life, and I don't even want to pretend I have a perfect life. Life is not about perfection. It's about how you handle the mistakes.

I recently heard of a young man, not much older than me, and how he impacted literally hundreds of lives.

How?

Simple, he lived for the present and the future. The past rolled off him like water from a duck's back.

He took one step at a time, trusting God each step of the way.

When I look at that, all I can say is, "wow"

May we all live for the present and the future, taking one step at a time.

  2. I like this, it got me thinking again. Living for the present and future is much easier said than done, but it sure beats living in negative past. Btw, I like the photo! Did you take it?
